There It Is Again Thursday – Tim Holtz GIVE AWAY

If you didn’t see it last year, we’ll just pretend it’s new.  LOL!  Here are some posts from last year that I wanted to share again.  If you’ve seen them before then maybe a GIVE AWAY will help you forgive the repeat. 😉

GLASS BLOCK DECOR

Do you heart this?  It was fun to make.  I used paper, chalk and a Cuttlebug die + a glass block.  Wanna make it?  CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL POST AND MORE INFO.

Are you thinking, “I know I’ve seen glass block done with vinyl.  I want to know how to do that.”?  Is THAT what you’re thinking?  Well, I actually do a project with vinyl and glass block in my Cricut Vinylology DVD!  Say what?!  Yes.  It’s true!!  CLICK HERE FOR CRICUT VINYLOLOGY DVD INFO.

THANKSGIVING INVITATION

Friends, I made this invitation last year and it was a SUPER HIT with ye ol’ family.  I was THRILLED.  It also got into the Cricut Chirp, for which I was also thrilled.  However, nothing beat hearing that the invitation made it to the top of my sister-in-law’s fathers piano.  THAT was high praise.  Here’s the post that explains how I made it.

I hope you all have a wonderful time preparing for your holiday traditions no matter how or what your family celebrates.  You never know what a difference your simple (or elaborate) hand crafted items might make to someone.  Don’t be afraid to share what you create.  Be bold. 😉

MUCH SUPER JOY LOVE TO YOU!

Here’s a crafty give away for something I just recently started using and LOVE!!!

I heart these Tim Holtz Tonic Studios scissors!  They’re great!

For this Give Away, I want you to tell me your favorite post from September or October of this year OR last.  You can see everything from month’s past by going to the “ARCHIVES” drop down menu on the left.  I’ll choose a winner on October 28 30, 2010.   WOO HOO!

  4. I love all your posts, but my favorite is the spiders in the handsoap, it was so original and awesome! Thanks for all your hard work!

  5. I thought this was goin’ to be a tuffy question for me cuz I LOVE all of your posts. You have me in “stitches” all the time!

However, I did find one. Hands down:- “How to Make Your Own Cricut Imagine”

Thanks to you and your friend, Jin, — OMG, you just saved me $600.00 and/or the space that I would’ve had to find for it. 🙂 If you saw my craft space, you’d know what I’m babblin’ about. 🙂

Thanks for the chance to win this awesome scissor set. I’ve always wanted one of these.

It’s hard to decide on a favorite, but I really enjoyed the gross halloween food posts. I have 3 boys who would really appreciate them so I plan to try them this year. I’ve also added the spiders and vinyl to my soap dispenser in the 1st floor bath-my boys and even my daughter(who hates spiders) got a kick out of it! Thanks for sharing your great sense of humor and creativity, it brightens my day!!

  8. I’m a new follower so I haven’t seen them before. I love the glass block. It looks beautiful with the soft light shining through.

  9. I have been visiting your site very long. I was just recently introduced to it by my daughter who loves to work with vinyl. I have not tried that yet. I did like the idea of the 2-liter bottle gift container. I, myself, had often wondered how in the world do people get those big gifts into a container with such a small opening. After seeing what you did, now I know. LOL

  10. It is too hard to choose! I have learned so much & been given so much inspiration in the short time I’ve been a member. I liked the vampire treat bags.

  11. You’ve made some pretty amazing projects and I look so forward to the next day to see what comes next. I’ll be sad when October is over. If I had to choose the glass block would be my first choice. Thanks for all the inspiration.

  12. I actually Love a lot of your projects… believe it or not! They are soooo creative…. but I have to say I’m LOVIN that fall glass blok decor…. it is sooo pretty and I LOVE FALL…. so the colors are just wonderful with light coming through the glass… It just has that WOW factor going on…. 🙂

  13. I really enjoy your site and your diversity! One of my favorites was how to make your own cricut imagine. Even before the Imagine was announced I tried to figure that one out. Thank you for the tutorial.
    What a fun October!!

  14. One of my recent favorites was the Witchy Cupcakes Socks on October 19th (.and the Cupcake Socks back on April 7th) Thank you for all the inspiration!

I love the pumpkin bags you make this week i made a few last night.

  17. Probably the soap dispenser because it is so easily adaptable to all holidays and seasons. A very simple thing you can do with very young children and they are so happy with it ! More handwashing by them and more clean up for mom since they leave the counters wet and the towels all messed up!
Such a simple one to get youngsters excited about !

You made me have a passion for the glass blocks!

  19. You’ve shared so many great ideas, but if I had to pick just one, it would be…the Thankful Book.

  20. pcrusberg says:

It’s hard to pick one idea or project that you’ve posted. I really liked the drink holder that you repurposed for your daughters sleepover and the winnie the pooh from yesterday. Thanks Joy!

  21. What a great give away. Good scissors are always a handy tool to have 🙂
I must say my favorite thing has been the mummy t-shirt you made…”I want my mummy” just too cute and I was glad to be inspired to use the butcher paper as an iron on paper. Now I am going to make my daughter a custom Snow White shirt with her name (maybe) for her birthday this year! And it was inspired by you!

I really cannot pick just one. I check your blog daily and love so many things you do. I love the recycle projects you do and all the informational tips you give but if I have to pick one, I can’t. I can pick all the vinyl projects you have been doing. I was never interested in the vinyl until you started doing so many things that caught my attention and now I would like to try it.

One of my favorite posts was from Oct. 16, 2009 when you made the “Won’t you be my neighbor” card. It was the reason I asked for a Bigshot for Christmas. Those topiary trees were so cute. My all time fav card is your coffee card. I’d like to see you make one using the mug on designers calandar. I love the simple swirl they use to create the mug design. I guess I’m a card nerd.

  30. my favorite was the vinyl on the handsoap and putting the plastic spiders inside! Kathy

  31. Well I have to say my favourite post was the soap dispenser because I made one (which I have yet to post on my blog) but it worked for the kiddies who didn’t want to wash their hands, they are now model children lol. Thank you Joy for all the wonderful posts and creations you bring tp us.

  32. I’m fairly new here so I just spent a lot of time lost your archives. Way to much good stuff in there but I’ve narrowed it down to two. My fav info post is ‘How to make your own Imagine’ and fav unique craft post is ‘cupcake socks’.

  33. Great projects. TFS.

  35. My daughters (she is 4) favorite post was the car wash – we had to make one just like Joy’s. I really love the different ideas with the vinyl (can’t wait to try my hand at some) and Mummy shirt you made. Thanks for sharing all your wonderfull ideas!

  36. Love the way you’ve taken a Cricut cut and found new ways to use them! Thanks for all your ideas !

  37. Oh wow – way too many posts to choose from. I found the Create your own Imagine to be quite informative – but if you were looking more for a “project” kind of post, I would say the Freezer paper Mini Monsters Stencil – I think that one is adorable!

  39. I really like the Thanksgiving Pumpkin. What a nice idea to tie together the spirit of the Holiday and the theme for Thanksgiving in one decorative craft.
    Tanaz
PS I would love the scissors. What a great giveaway.

  40. I love the soap dispenser makeover. Thinking about doing those for Christmas. They would make cute gifts.

I love the glass block, very pretty.

  41. Hard to pick, but maybe the pumkin- at least right this very minute that’s what I’d say. 🙂 I love all of you things; so creative and fun and ‘scrap-liftable!’
Thanks for the chance to win!

  42. I loved watching your movie themed party prep for your neighbor 😉

  43. I have never been one to get excited about Halloween but I must say that some of the things you have done are very cute and make me think about it more. However, I do like the fall colors and decorating, so I believe I like the decorated pumpkins and especially the fall block. I did something like that as a Christmas decoration once and also something similar with no special theme just to use as night light in the bath room. I would sure love to have those TH scissors. Keep up the good work.

  44. wow just 1 I am going to say that I love everything that you do and I try to get here at least once a day some days I get here more you help with any questions that we have and I really love that about your site My fav I would have to say is the coffin that you posted not long ago to put Halloween treats in I loved that.
    Thanks,
