Silhouette SD Flower Cards & Martha Stewart Score Board Envelope + Super Joy Loves Her Super Friends Day GIVE AWAY

I cranked up ‘ye ole Silhouette SD and created this cute (and easy) flower card.  As a matter of fact, I actually cranked several of these babies out in June and stamped them all with different sentiments from Joy’s Life stamps.  See below for my mass production.  The envelope sentiment comes from my Mother & Daughter stamp set.

Those stamps are from my Holiday Occasions, Everyday Occasions and Barnyard Puns stamp sets.  You can check them out HERE.  I also made a Father’s Day one but I decided not to post any more of my flower cards than could fit in one photo or we’d be viewing pictures for a while.  LOL!

I downloaded this flower card from the Silhouette store.

That flower is pretty cute, but I couldn’t just send it out naked into the birthday world, so I made it an envelope using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board.

I think the MS Scoring Board is better than other score boards (and I have several) because it has these nice measurements included to help you make envelopes and boxes (not shown here).  It also comes with a bone folder that hides away in a flush compartment.  The measurements are nicely marked as well.  Thumbs up!

After 4 scores to the paper and cutting out the corners (as required) I had an envelope!  I made an A2 size (standard size).  I used my ATG gun to tape parts of the envelope closed, but I used Scotch Restickable Tabs so that my niece could actually open and close it. 😉  I wrote more about how to do that in THIS recent post.  I’m LOVING those restickable tabs!  The base of the flower was embossed using the Cuttlebug D’vine Swirl folder.  I hope you like the cards!  Between you and me…I love making envelopes just as much as the cards!

My favorite is my Gyspy!! love that little thing. Can’t craft with out my “paper” only scissors. lost them for a while, bought several replacement pair. soooooo glad when I found them. would love the MS scoring board too. Speaking of scoring… are you ready for some football!!! RTR!!!!!

  6. I'd have to say my Cutter Bee scissors. Those little suckers are sharp and can get into any nook and cranny!

  9. Right now, my Cricut is my favorite tool. I have used it before but have REALLY used it the past couple weeks. I am going to be teaching 3rd grade this year and needed new bulletin board stuff. The Cricut has been very helpful and saved me tons of hours. Thanks for all of your ideas!!

  11. Although I LOVE my score board and those measurements I have the PERFECT sister in law to gift this one to. So I would have to say my tiny little Honey Bees scissors and my container of brads/dew drops. Oh and my flowers, and the glue dots, then there's those embossing folders, oh and the paper stacks, lol!!!! Please don't make me choose just ONE!!!!!

  12. I can't live without my cuttlebee trimmer, I have others but always go back to that one. Am thinking about a Silhouette though, I have a cricut but the silhouette looks like it cuts more detail

  13. Hi Joy! How could we possibly narrow it down to one item?!? I'd have to say I'm loving using my Sizzix embosser. My students LOVE using it for art projects.   16. Hi Joy, My favourite thing first of all is the "Internet", Why? because with out this I would not be able to connect with all wonderful people who inspire me with there creations. If I didn't have this fantastic tool then I would be lost and this tool brings us all together as one huge family.   17. my favorite is my cuttlebug and the dozens of embossing folders, alphas, dies, and etc that I have for it. Esp. the embossing folders.

  18. I've owned my Cricut for almost a year and I have to say that it is my favorite crafting tool. I love everything about it. I've fallen in love with it so much that I've become obesessed with any kind of cutting machine. I'd love to get the new Silhouette when it comes out and I'd really like to get another cricut but I have to think of a way to convince my husband that "Yes, I do really need another cutting machine." :)

  26. Other than my Cricut, I would have to say Zip Dry Paper Glue and Stickles. I don't feel finished unless I have stickled the project. In fact I think I may be slightly addicted to those fantastic little bottles of glitter glue!

  29. Cute. I love the colors of the envelope. My favorite tool is my scrapper because when my mat is not so sticky anymore I can use the scrapper to adhere the paper to the mat more tightly and not have it slip during cutting...if that makes any sense. LOL. sewsweetncrafty.blogspot.com

I wouldn't have known where to start without the DVD. My must have tools are my Gypsy, Cricut, paper cutter, ATG gun, and my sewing machine!

  50. Cute cards, the detail of the Silhouette cut looks great. Now the hard bit lol ummm I think I would have to say my Promarkers like Copics, I just love to colour and it really relaxes me. However the last couple of weeks I haven't been able to leave my Cricut and my new Elegant Edges cart alone, that cart has amazing shapes on it. Thanks for the chance to win.
