Pink Stamper Thursday Challenge…

Robyn, at My Pink Stamper, has challenged us to create something that we LOVE.

That was a fun suggestion. Too bad I was exhausted from a day of going to 3 different schools and meeting 10 different teachers with our kids. I didn’t get started until 10pm. Geeze.

So, What do I Love?
Well, first and foremost, I love my family, but for the needs of this challenge I concentrated on one of my other loves.  Donuts.  😀  I thought a card using the donut stamp I just had to have would be a fun card to make…and it would have been if I had a PINK Copic marker, but I didn’t.  I do have a bunch of tan and brown though.  So, guess what?  My donut is not up to my high donut standards.  It’s sort of…well…brown.

Do you want to know what I did?

Instead of throwing the loser donut away, I began an insane quest to make it work.  I tried everything I could think of and I think the card reflects that, but not necessarily in a good way.  I’m reminded of Dr. Phil saying, “Sometimes you make the right decision, sometimes you make the decision right.” Well, there’s another alternative…chucking it all…which I should have done.

If I said that I worked on this card and considered my options for it for more than 4 hours…I’d be nuts.

Welcome to the Nut Hut…It was definitely more than 4 hours…and the result does not prove it.

You know what I wish?

I wish I’d driven out and gotten actual donuts.  Or…a pink Copic marker.  No, the donuts are a much better choice.

Here’s the Ugly Burned Donut Card that I Should be too Ashamed to Show:

RECIPE:

Lyrical Letters Cricut Cartridge for the word “SWEET”… and a little bit of everything I had laying around. Here’s hoping I either have a better idea or that I quickly give up on things that aren’t working the next time!!

LOL…that brown donut is cracking me up. Maybe that came from the burned up donut shop!
