Sympathy Card…Lyrical Letters Cart

crafting, Cricut, Cricut Cartridges, Cricut Lyrical Letters, Stickles

Well, it’s a sad fact of life that we sometimes need to send a sympathy card.  I recently made this one for a loved one.  Bragging on my work here a bit, but I would have been pleased to receive this when I lost my Dad.  Ok, THAT was depressing.  Here’s the card…let’s move on to the fun stuff…like how I made it and what cool stuff I used.  Next post promises to be super happy!!  🙂

sorry card 3

Well, I just went super depressing with that black card AND a black envelope, but it was well received.  I used a silver pen to address the envelope.  I thought it looked nice.  I also used the green paper you see forming the tree for the inside note.

Recipe:

Cuttlebug Folder: D’vine Swirls

Stampin’ Up Paper: Augg!!  I can’t remember the name of it!! Sorry.

Stickles: Diamond (I just Stickled the branches.)

Little black brads: Spare Parts by the Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)

So Sorry Stamp: Stampin’ Up Fundamental Phrases

Cricut Cartridge: Lyrical Letters for the tree (pg 66)

Who would have thought that Lyrical Letters would have such a beautiful cut on it?  Here’s a link to see what else is available on that cart:

It may have come up from something sad, but it's beautiful. I stumbled upon this searching for tutorials on how to use Tim Holtz stamps. But I'm still thankful I got a lovely inspiration today. Thanks.

This is a great concept to express your sympathy to someone. Sometimes, it's so hard to verbally express it. Coming up with a beautiful paper craft to convey what you feel is I believe a cool way of telling that someone how you feel. :)
