Easy SNICKERS® Popcorn Recipe for the Big Game #BigGameTreats #Ad

We look forward to the football season every year and all year.  I’m serious…all year.  For example, about a week after the season ends we start talking about spring training and going to watch our team practice.  We cheer and root for our favorite college team (so beloved by us that we named our dog after their coach) and then we root for the pro ball teams.  So, as you can guess we always tune in to the Big Game to see what pro team is crowned the champion.  We have a very, very long standing party with our friends Rich & Jamie.  We’ve been watching THE GAME together for the past 15 years.  They’re hosting it this year and although we’re all excited for football, food always has a starring role.  This year I’m taking this SNICKERS® white chocolate and peanut butter popcorn recipe.  It’s so delicious!  We’ve been making it for years but I don’t think I’ve ever taken it to the party.  Now that I am, I think we should start giving a food trophy.  I want to win that thing.  LOL!

The ingredients couldn’t be any more simple.  See?  There are just five of them: popcorn, white chocolate morsels, SNICKERS, peanut butter, peanuts.  It’s as easy as…SNICKERS popcorn.

I bought two bags of SNICKERS but you don’t need that many for the recipe…or do you?  How many will make it into the recipe and how many will need to be “taste tested” by every person who comes through the kitchen?  It’s a valid question.  I picked up everything I needed for this recipe at Walmart.  Plus, I tried those Life Savers® Gummies.  Actually, I tried several of them and then I tried them again.  LOL!  Clearly, I liked them.  They smell good too!  Bonus!

Now let’s get back to this easy recipe that will win me the Big Game Treats trophy (which doesn’t yet exist but should).  Chop up a cup of SNICKERS.  Eat any that fall out of the cup.  That last part is just a suggestion.

Melt a cup of peanut butter and a 12 oz. bag of white chocolate morsels in a microwave safe bowl (or measuring cup) for about a minute.  Stir and continue heating in 30 sec intrevals
until it is melted, smooth and creamy.  Pour the peanut butter, white chocolate mix over a 3.2 oz bag of popped popcorn (about 5 cups) and mix.  Stir until the popcorn is coated.  Next, add SNICKERS, nuts and then stir.

Spread the mixture out flat on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.  In the photo above, I haven’t spread it out yet.  Saban is checking out my progress though.  LOL!  After you’ve spread it flat, freeze it until it’s solid.  When it’s ready just break into pieces to serve.  Easy!

If you can keep from eating it all, you can make this ahead and keep it in the freezer until game time!  That gets my two arms in the air cheer.

What are you making for Game Day?

    1. Thank you, Bethany! I can tell you that all of it has disappeared from our house, so I say the chances of a Snickers fan liking it are excellent. LOL! 😉
