Thanksgiving Silverware Holders with Epiphany Crafts
Happy almost Thanksgiving everyone! I thought it would be nice to create personalized silverware holders for my family to use on Thanksgiving. I used file #68389 in the Silhouette Store which is for an envelope/bag. I just stretched the design out so it would be long enough to fit my silverware. If you make this just be sure to have some of your silverware on hand to test the length that’s best. I had no idea my knives were as long as they are. I wanted to make the holders a little bit shorter but when I added the knife it looked weird, so I had to keep extending it. Anyway, it only took one sheet of 8-1/2 x 11″ paper to make each holder. That’s cool to me. 😉
I embossed each holder with different embossing folders using the Cut’n’Boss machine and those huge Teresa Collins embossing folders. Next, I used the Xyron 5″ Creative Station to make the leaves quickly sticky so they would adhere to the holders. Easy!
The fun part was making family photo charms! I selected some recent photos, shrank them down and printed them on my home printer. Next, I simply inserted each photo into the Shape Studio Round 14 tool, added a Round 14 Bubble cap and then set them into round charms.
I’m using the Echo Park All About a Boy paper to help me create some worded rounds.
I added twine around the holders and hung the charm from the twine.
I set the words and “L” and “M” letters into the pretty round charm settings. M for mom!
I’m looking forward to using these on Thanksgiving and seeing what each person thinks of their special embellishments!
