Whew! My MIL & FIL LOVED their pear anniversary card. Well, at least that’s what I heard. 😉 Super Zippy and I were out of town getting Copic certified when DH + the kiddos gave them this card that I made them. I can tell you for SURE though that my nephew LOVED his “Find It – Grocery Store Edition” book that I made him. I got the cutest thank you video from him. SO SWEET!!
Let’s see how I made this card:
I used my Gypsy along with my Cricut Imagine and the Kate’s Kitchen Imagine cartridge to create this quick and easy card. In a recent update the Gypsy and the Imagine can now work together…somewhat. It’s not a perfect system, but they do interact. I’m hopeful for a better interface, but am unsure when or if it will materialize.
I have NO IDEA what I was thinking when I cut out that frame. I didn’t use it, but it sure was cute. LOL!
Look at me! I made a bow!! Ok, it’s not one of my top skills. Forgive me while I pat myself on the back.
Check out how I “masked” the top part of my “We are a Great Pear” stamp!! SWEET!! I just put a piece of paper under the top part of the stamp so when I stamped the whole sentiment the only part that went on the card was “a great pear”. Nice! Hey, you can buy the Joy’s Life Yummy Puns stamp set and make your own pear cards!
In the last photo you saw pop dots. Ahh…pop dots. How flat the world would be without you. Did you know that North America was only discovered after it was lifted out of the water by pop dots? True story. 😉 Well, much like North America the pears and the bowl on this card were pop dotted up. It gave the whole card some needed dimension. Pop dots + paper = a great pear pair. A day without puns would be…wait for it…NO PUN AT ALL! 😉
As usual Joy a super duper card. Linda
Love the pair of pears!!!

What a great pearing! Ooops, paring. Nooooo, I mean pairing. Man, so many pears!! 😉 Love the card! TFS! 🙂
So this may be a really silly question, but I have never used this cartridge before, or a gypsy either, but how did you get all the items to be colored? You pics look like you used white paper but they cut out in color. Did you ink them, chalk?, or was this part of the software? I am still pretty new to using my cricut create and bought some inks for it but haven’t tried them yet. Is this an example of inking the shape first and then cutting it out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Nichole!
That’s not a silly question at all. It is true that I put white paper into the machine and it came out colored. In this post I am using the Cricut Imagine, which prints and cuts images. The Imagine makes me look like quite the artist, doesn’t it? 😉 I hope that helps Nichole. Please feel free to ask me any more questions that you have. 🙂

I love it:)
What a cute card…love the blues and greens. That frame you printed is fab…I’m sure you’ll find a use for it…if not, let me know, I’d be glad to take it off your hands!! 🙂

Super Cute Card, Joy! The display on your Gypsy, is this from a new update or because you were linked to your Imagine? What do you think of your Imagine? I see its on Provocraft for $299 for a limited time. The shipping though to Canada is a killer and probably get hit with duty/custom charges……
Joy this is Super Cute!!!!

Love the colors you used, they match the pears perfectly!! Thanks for the tip on not using the whole stamp!!
