Ok, here’s my 1st Cricut Circle box.

People have asked if I think joining the Cricut Circle was worth it. Uh…not so far. You can decide for yourself. I got this cartridge, a bracelet that I didn’t photograph because my nails were wet and I didn’t want to take it out of the package. I also got a numbered certificate telling me I’m an official member of the Cricut Circle. Lastly…I got a letter telling me “you will also be getting inside information about Provo Craft”. Really? Like that Martha Stewart Cricut Cake that was announced via press release to the world? I feel so special. 😛 I tell you what…those other 3 “special” carts better blow my doors off, because this cart…as many of you know is made up of parts of what Provo Craft was planning to release as “European Decor”. You know what might make me feel more special? NEW CONTENT!! Let’s see something unusual. It is just me or is everyone tired of “more of the same”? Maybe if I could just get a cartridge with some birds or swirls on it, LOL!!

Oh, there’s also a Cricut Circle forum/board that’s faster than the other free board…and it’s got a lot of pink on it.  So, do I think that’s worth it?  Uh…no.  You know what I think?  They should work to speed up that free forum they have.  Loyal Provo Craft users have been using that board for years.  How about a little upgrade for that loyalty? 😐

  1. I am still waiting for my box to arrive, but I am already starting to have buyer’s remorse. I wasn’t really a fan of the French Manor cartridge to begin with so I am with you as far as the remaining 3 carts….. BETTER be awesome!!

  2. As always, before I think of doing something, I check with YOU first!
Thank you for saving my money!
I’d rather spend the $275 on goodies like papers and embellishments and glue (Lord knows, now that my kids are entering “Kids Challenges”, my supplies are dwindling fast)! (-:

  3. Joy, I LOVE your sarcasm! I ranted about the “circle” & didn’t join. You posted this just as I was having a little cricut-addict remorse, for not joining….trying to justify that it’s only $23/month. BTW, I TOTALLY need MORE birds, swirls, butterflies, and critters, too! LMAO!

  4. Well, I know I sound like I woke up and put my grouchy pants on, but that was a LOT of money!! Yeah, I just HAD to be … what am I? Some kind of I-paid-this-much-so-I-could-say-I-was-first member. You know what? My numbered certificate just says I’m a member, not a super duper Exclusive member with special Cricut powers. Where’s my lair? Where’s my power to leap tall buildings with a single Cricut hop? Hmmm…this could be just a regular old club. I’m going to take that bracelet out and rub the Cricut. If a genie pops out…this has been totally worth the price. Wish me luck!

  5. Thank you so much for your honesty about the circle. It’s exactly how I feel about it. I really don’t need to belong to a club to enjoy my cricut, and you’re right, how much real insider info are they going to give you? I bet we’ll be seeing many of those “exclusive” carts on ebay. Why not reward loyal customers instead of just thinking up another way to make money off of them? Is that too cynical? And yes, I’ve had ENOUGH of the birds to be sure!!
BTW I really get a kick out of your sense of humor and I enjoy your videos and info! Thanks so much for what you do.

  6. I’ve enjoyed feeling like we are all part of the club. We all share a love for Cricut mania and are strong followers of their company. By doing this club it makes it feel a bit seperated. I wasn’t even invited to join. I think we all deserve rewards and special things just for belonging to the website. I hate how slow the mb are there, but everyone is so helpful and kind and warm. I’m afraid some of that will be lost due to this new club. The last thing I need is to feel like I don’t belong to a Cricut Clique.

  7. I sure hope provocraft do something far more interesting for all you people that entered into this as at the moment I totally agree it is not too impressive. Can’t wait to see what you create with your new cart though.

  8. I’m excited to be a part of the new group. Has it been worth it so far? Eh? If I get all the carts… it’ll be worth it to me. I love the new MB, but I wish the other one was just as quick cuz I wanna use both! i’m also anxious to see whats to come with swarms, rewards and previews.

I hope that in the end it’s all worth it and if it is… I hope we can all speak positive about it. (not to say we’re not justified in our feelings now).

  9. I didn’t join “the circle” because it just didn’t sound like it was worth it to me. I love my cricut and will continue to use it, but I do wish PC would quit trying to rip off all us loyal customers with more gimmicks and more carts with the same old, same old images.

  10. I didn’t join the circle neither. Wasn’t interesting enough. I look at cartridges today and really think if I need that one. Just wish PROVO CRAFT would decide to sell ALL cartridges to all of their loyal customers instead of selling some with the purchase of another machine .I think ALL cartridges should be available to everyone. What is your take on this?

    1. Mimicaro,
You and I are in agreement on this. 😉 I joined the Circle so I could report on it to everyone, but I feel that everyone should be able to have the ability to purchase any of the carts they are interested in. It makes the crafting world so much more interesting when many people can design and create with the different cartridges. 😉

  11. So, you enjoy your new found status, eh? 🙂 I didn’t join. DH gave me $400.00 to join and get a few new carts. Couldn’t find anything that interested me. So, I donated the $400.00 to a charity for kids. Don’t get me wrong. I love my Cricut and my carts. But, there’s just something that turns me off about an exclusive membership for crafters! Okay, I’m off my soapbox! I love your blog!
