I’m finding that more and more often I’m enjoying using a variety of textures and media in my projects. I feel like it stretches me as a designer and gives me a wider creative vocabulary. I’m working with some pieces (wooden frame, metal flowers, fabric brads and bling) sent to me by Freckled Fawn, from their OhDeerMe Embellishment Kit. The rest of the things are from my crafty stash.
You know I love die cut machines. They are this crafty girl’s BFF. However, I decided that I needed a good challenge, so I took a look around my newly cleaned craft room (only took me about 6 months to clean it) and zeroed in on my paper punches. You know what I learned? You can make a fun snowman card to send to friends and family with just a few paper punches, scissors, […]
Woo hoo! This is my first “gate fold” card. Am I the last person to ever make one? They are so easy! If you haven’t tried one, here’s how to make a Gate Fold card: Find the center of a 6×12 piece of paper. Fold each side in toward that center point and crease with bone folder for a crisp edge. EASY!
I’m using images from the […]

My oldest son will be having a birthday in April, so I made him a quick and easy card using Echo Park – Happy Days paper and embellishments.
Don’t miss the Give Away at the bottom of this post!
Did you know that you can draw with your Silhouette? You can! Yes, there are Silhouette Sketch pens but there are other options that can broaden your drawing choices to markers, regular ball point pens, gel pens and glue pens (for use with glitter, flock, etc). Today, I’m using […]
If you shop with Custom Crops you might have seen these cards in a recent ad. I created them to show one way to use Joy’s Life All Around Sentiments stamps. I designed All Around Sentiments to work alone or with 1″ and/or 1 1/2″ circle punches. You can punch out the sentiment or the middles and mix and match them. You can see the stamps here.
