A Perfect Summer Day Chipboard Display with Epiphany Crafts

I had the best time creating this fun project about a trip to the beach my husband and I recently took.  I’m showing off three of my favorite new things and they are all by Epiphany Crafts.  The Square, Round 14 and Chevron Punch tools!  If you haven’t tried these punches you should.  They’re made to go with matching epoxy bubble caps which give your finished punch a shiny raised, 3d look.  I love them!

I’ve recently fallen in love with mini albums.  I know they’ve been around for a really long time but for me it’s like they just showed up all of sudden and started being awesome.  LOL!  Today I’m giving a nod to chipboard albums by using a page from one to create a single chipboard display.  I’m using paper from Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine 6×6 paper pack, gluing it to a plain piece of chipboard, trimming the edges and sanding it down.  Don’t have a sander like that?  You don’t need one.  Use whatever sander you have or even a nail file.

These tools are super easy to use!  I love that they allow me to create my own art.  You simply slide paper into the tool, add a matching epoxy bubble cap, close the lid and punch out the shape.  I could make these all day.  Here’s a link to some videos about how to use the tools.  Plus, you can add the finished caps to different settings and create all kinds of neat things.  That = I love it!  I used Glue Dots Craft and Mini Dots to adhere the Epiphany Crafts pieces to my project.

After I had the first sheet of paper adhered to the chipboard, I added a small piece from another sheet.  I glued it on the bottom and the sides using my ATG gun.  I left the top open so I could create a pocket.  This pocket piece is glued to the back of the chipboard but because I inked the edges of it, it makes it look like it’s all one piece.

I used my craft knife to cut the “summer is here” paper so that it could be used as a tab.  Next, I adhered one of those awesome chevron pieces to it to make the best pointer ever!

They’re doing great work at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center.  On this day at the beach my husband and I got to watch them release a rehabilitated turtle back into the ocean.  It was a wonderful thing to see in person.  You can watch a rehabilitating turtle swim here.  I used the film edge frame from PicMonkey to help me create a photo effect on some of the photos from my Instagram account.  (By the way, you can try a full day of Royale features from PicMonkey if you use this link.)

I created this project and received the shown Epiphany products while Guest Designing for Epiphany Crafts.  My opinions of their product’s awesomeness are 100% my own.

Have a crafty day!

Wow Joy, that little album is awesome. Love the little gadgets…seen them but never really looked at them. Watched the videos…it’s Mary from SVG…love them. I think I will have to give these punches a closer look, they do look fun. Love the Sea Turtle.

    1. Thank you, Blue Rose! Seeing the sea turtle being released was truly a blessing. We just happened to be there on that exact day. I’d always wanted to see it happen. So cool! I highly, highly recommend the Epiphany Crafts tools. Last weekend, when I was at a scrapbooking convention I bought another one, the oval shape. I’m really taken with them. They work so well and they’re fun!
