We do a LOT of dishes in our family of five.  At least two to three loads a day.  If we cook a lot, we can do four loads.  I never thought we’d do that many dishes but that’s how it goes with teenagers and hating to hand wash anything!  LOL!  I love the ease of using these Cascade Platinum Pacs.  Drop them in and you’re done!  The added Dawn really helps cut the grease too.  I’m a big fan of Dawn and when I do have to hand wash (or when I delegate that to anyone else…because I really won’t do it) I always use Dawn for that.  I love having these two things in one drop in pac.

Every year we have a huge 4th of July celebration.  DH used to own a BBQ restaurant (way back before we were married) and now he treats all of our friends to BBQ and his awesome sauce on the 4th.  You know what’s not so fun about the 4th and having a huge party?  Dishes.  Especially with all that sauce, potato salad, dessert, etc. stuck to it.  Blah!  I wanted to show you what a good job Cascade Platinum did on my black dishes.  I use these dishes daily with my family of 5.  I’ll be using some of them to serve on the 4th too.

I’m going to make this super simple fruit dish on the 4th, so I did a little trial run today.  This is SOOO easy!  Just cut the watermelon out using a cookie cutter in a star shape.  Done and done!  Check out that shine!  Everything you see on that plate is shine, the sun through the blinds in my kitchen and reflections of the fruit.

One of the things I like about the Cascade Platnium Pacs is the pac itself.  First, I dig those colors.  They’re cool.  Mostly though, I like that I don’t have to rip open individual small packages to get the pac out.  I don’t like the waste of having to do that AND I don’t want to get soap particles all over my hands.  That happens to me with another dishwashing product I have.  I have a cat, dog and kids in sports.  I wash my hands constantly.  I don’t want to do it again just to get off soap pieces.  With these pacs you just drop the whole thing into the dishwasher.  Yay to that!
