I love this breakfast! ย It’s a layered oatmeal dish that is easy to make, pretty to serve and tastes great! ย It can leave a bit of a mess though, but don’t let that put you off from making it. ย I used the new Palmoliveยฎ Fusion Cleanโข Baking Soda & Lime, which is also available in Baking Soda & Grapefruit, to clean my bowls and oatmeal pot. ย You should try it! ย It got off that mess that my son, who was supposed to do the dishes last night, forgot to do. ย How do you leave out obvious things? ย Oh, well. ย That’s a post for another day. ย LOL! ย Luckily, the unique formula removes 24 hour stuck-on food, because that’s what it became. ย Let’s talk about how to make this yummy baked pecan and blueberry oatmeal brulee!

First, make your favorite oatmeal. ย I used a quick cooking rolled oat, but that part is up to you. ย I cooked mine with milk, salt and brown sugar. ย While that’s cooking get your pecans, blueberries, yogurt and brown sugar ready.

Add a cup of cooked oatmeal to large ramekins and spread it evenly.
This is where Palmoliveยฎ Fusion Cleanโข will come in handy later. ย It has an ultra concentrated formula loosens and dissolves 24-hour stuck on food and removes even unseen food residue. ย There will definitely be some stuck on oatmeal after this bakes!

Layer 1/3 cup of yogurt over the oatmeal.

Next, drop blueberries and pecans onto the yogurt layer. ย Isn’t it pretty? ย I wanted to eat it right here, and you could, but wait. ย It gets even better!

Finally, add two or three tablespoons of brown sugar. ย You want enough to cover the top surface. ย Under the broiler of the oven, the sugar will caramelize andย form a hard, but brittle top, that’s the brulee!

Baked Pecan and Blueberry Oatmeal Brulee
Ingredients
- 1 cup per bowl of your favorite oatmeal, cooked.
- Per Bowl:
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/3 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1/8 cup pecans
Instructions
- Create your favorite oatmeal made with milk.
- Preheat the oven to broil.
- Per Bowl:
- Smooth 1 cup of cooked oatmeal in the bottom of an oven proof bowl or large ramekin.
- Layer the vanilla Greek yogurt, evenly covering the oatmeal.
- Cover the yogurt with a single layer of fresh blueberries.
- Top the blueberries with chopped pecans, to your taste.
- Cover with brown sugar.

Do you have a messy recipe that you love to make?

Wondering how many servings when using small ramekins.
Hi Margaret! I’m using these 7 oz. Corningware ramekins. I hope that helps you gauge the amount for your small ramekins. ๐ Happy cooking!
Made it today, but husband bought small pack of pecans. They tasted rancid. Will have to buy in bulk next time. I liked it with pecans, he didn’t . BTW the pecans hadn’t gotten to expiration date! Great recipe!!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe, Margaret! That’s terrific! ๐ It’s awful that you got a bad bag of pecans though. I hope you have better pecan luck next time! Thank you for letting me know how your experience with the recipe went! ๐
