SuperJoy Loves Her SuperFriends Day – Sewing Card – Disney Princesses Happily Ever After

You say it’s your birthday!!!

Hey SuperFriends!  I want to share this card I made for my Mother-in-Law.  It’s her birthday today!  Her super power is sewing, so I made her this card using the Disney Princesses Happily Ever After Cricut Cartridge for the scissors and the thread.

Disney Cricut cartridges can be hard to find, but here’s one called Dreams Come True!

I had to have these brads that I found at Michael’s and just knew that one day I’d have a need for them.  Today was that day!  Yes, I have a whole box of them…and I’m thrilled that I found a use for ONE.  That’s a crafter for you.  Am I right?

You know what that is?  The inside of the card.  Using my Gypsy, I welded 2 shapes from the Cricut Lite cartridge Sugar and Spice.  I like the tiny holes I created with the weld because it sort of mimics sewing.

Sew…you know how I made that sentiment?  Yep.  I printed it out on my computer and punched it out using a Stampin Up punch that I bought.  I love Stampin’ Up things.  Just ask my friend Gale who I buy my Stampin Up stuff from.  She’ll vouch for my love of the products, LOL! 😉

It’s sometimes hard to work with small, thin pieces of paper, like the thread and needle part.  So, I used Zip Dry paper glue and it made things much easier.   If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I heart Zip Dry Paper Glue.  It’s made many appearances in different posts and videos that I’ve done.  So, you won’t be at all surprised that I’m thrilled … like… I sang the Ahh ahh ahhh Ariel the mermaid song when I opened the box and tenderly lifted them out (a la Lion King…it was a whole Disney medley in my house).  Anyway…I’m so THRILLED to announce that Beacon Adhesives donated today’s give-a-way of my favorite adhesive in the WORLD!!!

I’ll use Random.org to choose FOUR winners of Zip Dry Paper Glue generously donated by Beacon Adhesives!  Thank you Beacon Adhesives!!

Ok SuperFriends!  Just leave me a comment and I’ll draw FOUR winners for Zip Dry Paper Glue on Tuesday, August 17, 2010.  After I hear from the winners, I’ll post them here.

Good luck SuperFriends!

  11. So cute. I never think to look at the other images on those carts. I clearly need to make a list or a book of the cart shapes or something.
