That cute wet/dry embossed embellishment is fast & easy to make!
This is so much fun to make and it’s not too difficult either!
Here’s How You Make It:
- Ink the inside top of a Cuttlebug folder with water based ink.
- Put your cardstock in the folder and run it through an embossing machine (like Cuttlebug or Big Shot).
- While the ink is still wet, cover your embossed image with embossing powder and heat with a heat tool (like the one above).
- You can use the finished image any way you’d like, but I cut mine out with a 1 – 1/4″ punch. I’m going to use them on a card! 😀
Here’s What I Used:
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder – Boo To You
Ink – Stampin Up Green Galore
Heat Tool
Embossing Powder – Sparkle
Punch – Ek Success 1-1/4-Inch Paper Shapers Circle Punch
(fits PERFECTLY!!)
Paper – Orange Cardstock from Stampin Up
Sizzix Big Shot Embossing Machine
You can then cover the little circle with Diamond Glaze for an even cooler result!
What fun! A cool glossy embellishment!
Those are so neat Joy. They look like the epoxy embellishments you can buy.
Thanks Gale! That’s exactly what I was trying to think of…the term “epoxy embellishments”. Thank you! That IS the look I was going for. I just cut out a maple leaf and embossed it in my Big Shot, then inked it. I added some Diamond Glaze to that and it looks so cool! I swear, I’m going crazy diamond glazing things. I’m impressed every time I use it! 😀
Neat idea.I have a couple of Halloween cards to make and I’m going to try this today.
GREAT IDEA USING THE IMAGES FROM THE CUTTLEBUG EMBOSSING FOLDER. THIS CARD IS SO CUTE.
Hey Joy,
I like this idea and will try it. You have the most amazing ideas….thanks
Mickey

I don’t have that folder. 🙁 I don’t have a 1 1/4″ punch. 🙁
But…..I still love your project!!! TFS! 🙂
I’m going to have try this. I’ve tried using ink with my embossing folders before and didn’t have much luck but those are really cool!!
That’s really neat, I have to try it.
