Today is National Chocolate Milk Day! I’m celebrating by using TruMoo, America’s chocolate milk!  You’ve heard me talk about it all year as one of the TruMoo bloggers.  What I’ve learned that makes it so special to me is that wherever I go in the United States, I can get TruMoo from a local dairy…at a local store!  As a fan of supporting local businesses, this is really meaningful to me.  Plus, the milk is good!  Soooo, good.  How good?  I literally drank it out of champagne glasses while I made this dessert.  LOL!  My kids love it too.  I won’t buy any other kind of chocolate milk.  Really.  So, let’s make a dessert and drink some TruMoo!

If you want to get National Chocolate Milk Day going fast, it’s simple, and you can’t mess it up, trust me.  Go buy some TruMoo Chocolate Milk.  Easy.  Pick up two packs of your favorite brand of instant chocolate pudding and follow the pie recipe on the side of the box.  It will call for about 4 – 5 cups of  milk.  You want to “chocolatify” this recipe, so use TruMoo chocolate milk instead.

You can make your pie crust from scratch…and if you do I’ll nod my admiration.  Mine is the store bought kind that comes rolled up.  I did try to flute the edges though.  LOL!  Add the pie filling to your prepared (cooked) crust.  Let it set up in the refrigerator for a few hours.  When it’s firm, take it out and add your favorite whipped topping.  Mine is store bought again!  Now, you can eat this beautiful pie like it is…or…deconstruct it!

To deconstruct it simply scoop it out of the pie pan into ramekins.  This is the perfect save if your chocolate pie didn’t come out of the pan easily.  I think you know exactly how I know that, but it’s a great pre-planned idea too!  I like the deconstructed chocolate pie idea because it creates single serving desserts that you can easily store in ramekins in your refrigerator.  They’re easy to grab and enjoy with a glass of TruMoo chocolate milk!

Plus, they’re delicious.  Obviously.  I mean, it’s chocolate TruMoo milk and dessert.  Yum!
