Easter Basket Blog Hop – Floral Easter Eggs and Basket

Welcome to the Easter Basket blog hop!  I hope you have a good time hopping from blog to blog and seeing some ideas for Easter baskets and their contents this season.  I LOVE the way this Easter basket I decorated turned out.  I think you’ll be amazed when I tell you that this project cost me under $6.  😀  The Easter basket was $1 at Michael’s.  I used less than $3 worth of flowers.  The candy was $2 for a bag.  Everything else I already owned.

I used that (much loved) glue gun to attach all of the flowers to the basket and the plastic eggs I decorated.  The Tim Holtz Scissors are wonderful for clipping ribbon as well as plastic.  They expertly clipped the plastic ends off of these flowers.

Using a plain plastic egg, I hot glued the flower tops to the egg.

I assembled some of the leaves along with pink flower centers to cover the sides of the basket.

The tops of the plastic eggs are decorated, but not the bottoms.  That way the recipient can grasp the bottom of the egg and easily open it for a treat.  In this case, the treats are wrapped in some pretty pink paper, embellished with pearl ribbon/string and topped with a flower.

The floral Easter eggs help fill the basket and turn it from a simple Easter basket into a centerpiece. 😀  I hope you enjoyed this project.  Now I have to go un-glue my fingers.  LOL! 😀

NOW … On with the Hop!!

Joy, you did such an amazing job on this Easter basket! I just love it. I like how you only decorated the top half of the eggs with flowers to make it easier to open. And, of course, pink is my favorite color. Have a Happy Easter.
