How to Make Hurricane Lamps from Dollar Store Glass

Well, it’s finally happened.  It’s move in weekend for my college freshman daughter.  It’s funny.  You have a baby. You dream of all they will become.  You raise the baby to grow and pursue their hopes and dreams.  And then they do.  You’ve both won and lost all at the same time.  It comes as a complete surprise that the child you raised to grow up and move on actually does.  So, there I am.  Right there.  At that place in my life.  It’s a time of happiness and sadness.  Would I go through it all again?  You bet.  I have two sons marching in that direction next.  I bet I’m no better at dealing with it then than I am now. 😉  Hugs to all of you who are saying … see ya soon … to your children who are going off to college or in whatever new direction they may follow.  I’ll be back next week with some new crafty posts but for now…I need a little time to get her moved in…and a little time to wonder how that baby got so grown up. 😉

Here’s One of My Favorite Creations!

I use my hurricane lamps all the time.  I hope you enjoy this video.  It’s an oldie but a goodie.

Instead of using the messy Goo-gone or Undo, just get your embossing heat gun and heat the sticky tag, the tag peels right off when you heat it! The best tip that I ever heard of! 🙂

  2. Wow go Joy! I’m loving your videos. This would be good for the Holidays with VINYL . This is on my must try list. TFS AJ-
