Joy’s Life ABC Book Cricut Cuttlebug Project “W” Whale “X” X-ray Fish “Y” Yak

Today I have 3 pages from the ABC book I made to share with you.

Letters W, X and Y.

Y?  Because I like you.

“W” is for Whale

About the Whale:

Cricut Cartridges: Sesame Street Font, Life is a Beach (whale p.70) Paper Doll Dress Up (water pg. 78)

Sizzix Texturz: Diagonals

Papers: DCWV Sweet Stack for letters

When I gave my “just turned 2” nephew this book I was concerned that he wouldn’t really like it.  Turns out, he LOVES it!!  He opened the book right to this page and said, “Whale!!” 😀

“X” is for X-Ray Fish

About the X-Ray Fish:  (Yes, an X-ray fish IS a real thing!)

Cricut Cartridges: Sesame Street Font, Spongebob (water pg. 45) (fish p.71), Paper Doll Dress Up (bones pg. 35)

Cuttlebug Folder: Heart Blocks

Papers: Vellum over fish, DCWV Sweet Stack for letters

Let my wrong choice in adhesive be a lesson to you.  Use vellum adhesive for applying vellum or you will have obvious marks like I do.

“Y” is for Yak

About the Yak:

Cricut Cartridges: Sesame Street Font, Animal Kingdom, Plantin Schoolbook (mountains pg. 69)

Cuttlebug Folder: Houndstooth, Distressed Stripes

How I Made the Yak: From the Animal Kingdom cartridge I used the mane of the lion, the body of the cow and the tusks from the elephant!

My Yak was a huge hit with everyone!  I love that I created what I needed!

  1. I am absolutely going to use this idea with my PreK kids this year! We work all the way through the alphabet, so we can make a page for our book each time we learn a new letter! Yea! Another way to use my Cricut!
    Thanks again!
