Here’s a fun and simple craft to make for the whole office, classroom or neighborhood using yummy Starburst and Skittles!
You’re going to love how easy this is. I used the print and cut function with my Silhouette Cameo to create these cute bag toppers. You can find them in the Silhouette store as ID 65218 (witch), 65216 (pumpkin), 65213 (vampire) and 65215 (mummy). Need help printing and cutting with the Cameo? Here’s a tutorial. Don’t have a Silhouette? No problemo. You can also get the toppers from Pebbles In My Pocket.com and cut them out yourself. They are listed as Pumpkin, Mummy, Dracula and Witch Treat Bag Topper.
Divide your Starburst candy by color. I chose to use same or similar colors for each of my mummies but any color or color combo is fine!
I didn’t have a bag that was the right size for what I wanted to do so I simply folded the bag I had in half and taped it using double sided tape. I added the Starburst candy and taped it again so that all the candy fit snugly. It was that simple!
After folding and taping the cellophane bags I was using, I noticed that it made them rigid enough to stand. That’s how my mummies are able to walk around doing mummy things.
I picked out all of the colors of Skittles that matched my toppers. Don’t be afraid to mix and match any of the colors because they are all yummy. I should know because I ate some from each of these packs. That’s why there’s that hole present in the pile of Skittles on the right. Hey, “Official Taster” is a real job, ok? I take it seriously. LOL!
After all of my bags were sealed and my toppers were on, I created my little “seeds” signs and printed and cut them out.
I’m going to grow a vampire for sure. Then I’ll be sleeping in a garlic necklace every night. Hmmm, maybe I should make a Skittles necklace too for some added color and yummy smell.
Knowing some spells could be helpful. Maybe I’ll grow a witch too…but she can’t bring her spider with her. I do look forward to riding her broom around the moon though. Fun!
Yes! Grow a jack o’ lantern! Now you don’t have to carve at all. They just show up that way. Nice!
So I could make a bunch of monsters, witches and mummies, I bought the Skittles & Starburst 30 Pack from Sam’s Club. I had the coolest experience while I was there. I got to use the self checkout and scan all of my items myself. It took no time at all! I was out in a flash. I’m definitely using self check out again. Scanning things is fun. Is it weird that I think that?
Because this pack is so large you can make a lot of treats. Remember friends, neighbors, school staff and community helpers while you’re scaring up some fun treats!

What a fun idea for Halloween! But now I’m going to spend the rest of the day wondering exactly what “mummy things” are. Seriously…how do mummies spend their time? Haha! Thanks for sharing this awesome post! #client
Thanks, David! Hey, mummies spend their time relaxing and UNWINDing! 😉 LOL!
Joy,
These are too cute. My teacher friend has asked me to create something for her class, and this would be perfect. Thanks for the website…cute stuff there too.
You’re so welcome, Blue Falcon! These are perfect for creating in multiples. The class will love them! 😉 Thank you!
