CTMH Cricut Vinyl Storage Container

I bought these Iris containers to help me corral some craft supplies.  I love them because they fit on my standard bookshelf on their front or side.  I’m keeping them sideways to maximize bookshelf space.  Goodness knows I need it!  LOL!  I’m using this one to hold my Close to My Heart Cricut cartridges, stamps and chipboard so I created some signage for it using vinyl.

Need vinyl?  I like to buy mine from Expressions Vinyl.

I used the Cricut Craft Room along with the Artbooking Cricut cartridge (available through CTMH) to create my words.  The heart is part of Artbooking too.  Ignore the 50 states in the photo, this is all from Artbooking.

I sent my creation to my Cricut and cut it out using red Cricut vinyl.

I like to keep the backing on the mat and work from there to weed my vinyl.

I covered the words with transfer tape.  That will help me move it from the backing to the container.

Off to the container we go!  I have blue glittery nails this week.  LOL!

I’m using the Open Top File Box 13x5x9 by Iris.

YAY!  Not only does it hold everything I needed it to hold but I can tell exactly what’s in it from a distance thanks to that vinyl lettering! Woo hoo!

Disclosure: The cartridge used in this post was sent to me by CTMH consultant, Melanie Brown.

Have a great day!

  1. GREAT idea…you can’t miss finding it now!! LOL Do you have any other ideas for the many stamp sets from CTMH?

    1. Thanks, Claire! I keep most of my stamps from other companies in a plastic box. It’s not really the best system. I’m actually in the middle of rethinking my entire craft room. The rethinking part comes before “redoing”. LOL! I keep Tim Holtz stamps in his booklet and I keep Joy’s Life stamps in drawers next to where I work. 😉 I wish HGTV “Craft Edition” existed and would come perform so magic for me. LOL!

  2. Hey, Joy, what a great idea to keep your CTMH stuffz all together in one container. I’ll have to try that. And I have a question for you: what kind of clear transfer tape is that? And, can you share a link, please?

Hi. I made wine glasses using the Cricut outdoor vinyl. Have you ever used Cricut outdoor vinyl? I see a lot of people use the Expressions vinyl, but I don’t have time to order it and complete my project on time. Can you buy expressions vinyl anywhere but online? Thank you for any insight you have. This is my first project and they are a gift so I really don’t want them to fall apart. 🙂
