Amazon Shopping Party & College Care Package Ideas

I use Amazon.com all the time for everything.  Seriously.  Everything.  I buy food, clothing, electronics, cleaning supplies, books, gifts…everything from them.  It saves me an amazing amount of time being able to quickly find what I need, press a few buttons and get those items going where they’re needed.  A perfect example happened just today.  My daughter has been home from college for Fall break but headed back to school today.  She took toilet paper, paper towels, food and just as she was leaving she asked if she could take some K-cups for her Keurig.  Yes.  Absolutely.  Just not too-too-too many.  I could have a coffee emergency.  Instead, I had her just take a few and I sent her two more boxes from Amazon and finished shopping before she even pulled out of the driveway.  She’ll have them by Friday and I still have some on hand for myself.  College students.  LOL!

 

Honestly, I don’t mind sending her things at all.  I really enjoy it.  Plus, I know she needs things to make her dorm room feel more like home.  (That’s her tiny dorm from Freshman year.  It’s was so bare before she and her roommate moved in.)  She goes to school in a different state and it’s a long drive to see her.  Shipping things to her from Amazon is an easy way for me to do something for her, whether it’s a necessity or just a nicety.  #AmazonHasIt

She’s worked hard in school and done well.  I’m really proud of her and happy for her.  So, when she started talking about how much she and her roommate use the Brita Water Pitcher we bought during the summer and how she’d been thinking about buying an additional one, I made a note to get her another one for Christmas.  It turns out that there’s a $2 off coupon for it right now too.  Easy!  Getting it.  She said that it makes such a difference to the way their water tastes that she pours it into their coffee maker, uses it to make ice cubes and even brushes her teeth using a glass of water from it.  I told you she loves it!
