  5. Joy,
    Wow, you are brave girlfriend.
I am afraid to paint anything and everything.
Maybe once my machine is out of warranty I will give it a shot. LOL
    Great video.

    1. Lovethatbug,
I bet after you paint your first thing…you’ll become “Ms. Paint”. LOL! 😉 Try something like a Dollar Store item first, then it won’t matter if you mess up and it will help you become more confident before trying something bigger. 😉

  6. Joy, you are FEARLESS . . . and that’s awesome! Great video! If my Cricut wasn’t brand new and already beautifully red, I’d definitely have the gumption to paint it after seeing you do it. I’ll bet you were the kid in school who took all the dares. LOL.

    1. Fvanatta,
Have you been talking to my past school principals? LOL! Who me? Why, I dare you to dare me to tell! 😉
You: “Joy, Truth or Dare did you…” Me interrupting: “DARE!” 😀
      ~Joy~
P.S. There’s no way in the world that I’m painting my red Cricut Expression. I heart that thing just like it is!

  7. Joy, you’re so funny with that paper dust pan at the end. You are one brave, crafty lady. Rock on girl!!!!

  8. You are either very brave or just plain crazy Joy. I don’t think I’ll ever be brave enough to paint my E or my ATG, but you did an awesome job and you certainly brightened my day. However, now that you have all that purple paint what’s next?

  9. So cute, TFS! My daughter watched it with me and of course her response was ‘OOOOOOOOOOOOO – PURPLE!!!’ You’ve inspired me! 🙂 Thanks!

  10. this made me laugh because I kept thinking you have toooo much time on your hands! but keep on being whacky, I love it

  13. Love your purple expression! And your video was funny! Thanks for sharing your creativity! 🙂

  14. I’ve always been too afraid to paint mine, but now that it’s out of warranty and I’ve seen you do it, I may have to give it a try! You don’t mind if I do purple too? It’s my favorite color as well! TFS this!

  15. you are too cute. I love the purple color. I might do that too but I will do the dark purple and then on the ends with the silver I will paint a lighter shade of purple…

  16. I enjoyed your video but haven’t painted one yet. I do love using the Krylon paint too. A suggestion, rather than taping up the inside, use quilt batting (not too thin tho). Also, if you remove the tape within a few hours it should come off easier than letting it set too long. I really like your blog and plan on trying some of your creations.

  17. I’m too chicken to “try this at home” but it sure is fun watching you do it! Maybe someday I’ll paint mine blue but for now I’m using vinyl to make it special. As always thanks for the inspiration!
