A “Cricutine” Cricut Bug Head Valentine Using Make the Cut – Part 2

Crafty Software, Holiday Themes, Make the Cut, Valentine's Day

Whew.  That took more time than I’d like to admit.

Using the Make the Cut software, I imported a photo of the Cricut bug head.  I know I said I’d decorate 2 heads, but instead I decided to create a card by putting 2 heads together and joining them with a heart.  If you’d like to see a screen shot from the beginning of this project click here. The eyes didn’t cut perfectly round.  I need to work with the software just a tad more.

This is the inside of the card.  I made another heart that fit my cut so I could add in this special touch.  I used my Crop A Dile Big Bite to add the eyelets. Another good thing about having added that heart to the card is that it gives the card the stability to stand up.

He’s pretty cute.  I’ll come up with some fun uses for this Cricut head. 😀

Joy this is so cute! I keep thinking about all the handmade cards you've made and I think to myself why don't any of my friends ever handmake cards and send to me hahaa unless you want to count the cards my lil' brother makes that are ink pen on school lined paper 2 seconds before he gives it to you hahhaaa (wouldn't be so bad if he were like 5 or something but he is 20!)

Thank you! ;) I know what you mean! I wish more people would even send regular cards more often. Sigh! LOL about your brother. I was thinking yeah, my kids do that...then I read your lil' bro is 20. Ha Ha!! At least he's doing it by hand. You might want to frame some of those. It's still pretty sweet. ;) ~Joy~

So cute. I think the fact that the eyes aren't perfect circles is even better. Gives it a cool look

I agree with teetle81. I like the eyes that way. Gives it a bug eye look like crafter's get after crafting all day long. Cute.

Do you know anyone who has made a bug head for the Gypsy? I am really wanting to decorate with the bug head and some vinyl. Thanks!

Hey Step, Other than using Make the Cut software to create a bug OR using the Storefront Cricut cartridge, I don't know of a way to make it. I hope they'll come out with a new cartridge where we could make them. Crossing fingers. :) ~Joy~
