Silhouette Heart Cupcake Topper

A quick way to theme a treat!

Every year I let Valentine’s Day sneak up on me, so I’m always on the lookout for some quick “I’d planned it this way for weeks” ideas.  Here’s one that I love!

It's a drink umbrella in the Silhouette store but I'm using it as a cupcake topper.

Instead of adding a toothpick to this heart topper/umbrella, I’ll be using a stirring straw for mixing drinks.  I keep those on hand for crafting…and parties. 😉

Use the leftover hearts for some table confetti!

The topper on the left has a tab to join the ends together.  The topper on the right is tab free.  Glue it as desired.  I’m using Glue Dots.

This photo looks sort of gross. It's just a Glue Dot though.

I added a few glue dots to the inside middle of the formed topper.  Then I stuck my skinny straw onto the glue.  I buy these mixed drink stirring straws from my local grocery store.  Look where plastic silverware and Solo plates and cups are.  You might find them there or in the wine/beer section.  Use whatever you have on hand.  You could even tightly roll a piece of paper and use that!

Cute topper? Check. Pretty cupcake? Check.

My contribution to this cupcake is the topper.  The cupcake was born at a bakery.  I did have a lot to do with it being eaten though…I mean, I ate the cupcake not the topper.  I wasn’t THAT hungry. LOL!

Don’t Forget!
