Easter Basket Blog Hop – Floral Easter Eggs and Basket
![I love flowers!](https://joyslife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/a1.jpg)
Welcome to the Easter Basket blog hop! I hope you have a good time hopping from blog to blog and seeing some ideas for Easter baskets and their contents this season. I LOVE the way this Easter basket I decorated turned out. I think you’ll be amazed when I tell you that this project cost me under $6. 😀 The Easter basket was $1 at Michael’s. I used less than $3 worth of flowers. The candy was $2 for a bag. Everything else I already owned.
![Somebody needs a nicer looking glue gun.](https://joyslife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/b.jpg)
I used that (much loved) glue gun to attach all of the flowers to the basket and the plastic eggs I decorated. The Tim Holtz Scissors are wonderful for clipping ribbon as well as plastic. They expertly clipped the plastic ends off of these flowers.
![No longer a dull plastic egg. :)](https://joyslife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/d.jpg)
Using a plain plastic egg, I hot glued the flower tops to the egg.
![I love pink flowers. They are my favorite.](https://joyslife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/h.jpg)
I assembled some of the leaves along with pink flower centers to cover the sides of the basket.
![You can make candy so pretty!](https://joyslife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/g.jpg)
The tops of the plastic eggs are decorated, but not the bottoms. That way the recipient can grasp the bottom of the egg and easily open it for a treat. In this case, the treats are wrapped in some pretty pink paper, embellished with pearl ribbon/string and topped with a flower.
![Happy Easter to my Mom! This basket is for her. :)](https://joyslife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/a1.jpg)
The floral Easter eggs help fill the basket and turn it from a simple Easter basket into a centerpiece. 😀 I hope you enjoyed this project. Now I have to go un-glue my fingers. LOL! 😀
NOW … On with the Hop!!
