Pillow Boxes & Heart Boxes Using Cricut

Here’s What I Made for My Family!!

This is the last Valentine’s post I’ll make until next year, I promise! 😉  I just wanted to show you these cute boxes I made and YOU can make them too!

You’ll Need:

  • Tags, Bags, Boxes & More Cartridge (heart box)
  • Easter Seasonal cartridge OR Wedding Solutions cartridge (pillow box)
  • A scorer and/or a bone folder
  • Cellophane bags (for the candy)
  • Candy or other items
  • paper, paper, paper
  • Strong Adhesive (I used my ATG gun with double sided adhesive)
  • Stapler or Tiny Attacher

Those are the small Cello bags that I buy from Stampin’ Up.  I used the Love Struck Seasonal Cartridge to cut all the hearts in this project.  You don’t have to have that cartridge though, many of the carts have hearts on them.

1 of each of those items fit in the heart box.

I cut this heart box out of a 12×12 sheet of paper using  the Fit to Page button.  It’s from the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge.  The Tiny Attacher is what I used to staple those Cello bags closed.  The little hearts are covering the staples.  You’ll want to score the lines to make all the folds look nice.

Are these just the cutest things?!  I LOVE them!

These are called Pillow Boxes.  You can use the Wedding Solutions cartridge for a plain pillow box.  I don’t happen to have that cart, but I do have the new Seasonal Easter cart and it has a pillow box with a rabbit on it.  Guess you’ve figured out how I got around that problem, huh?  Yep.  I put a little paper patch on the inside and stuck a heart to the outside.  Bye, bye Rabbit! 😉

I cut the pillow boxes at 7 1/2″ so they would be able to hold 2 bags of M&M’s.  I wrote Valentine messages on the polka dotted heart and put them inside the pillow box.

I’m Loving Making Boxes Lately!!
