The Beach Always Brings You Back – Panama City Beach
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Visit Panama City Beach. All opinions are 100% mine.
There’s something about the beach that helps you press the reset button, well, at least there is for me. I don’t know if it’s because I learned to swim in the ocean, or if it was riding the waves in on a raft that my Dad pulled out into the water until he was standing on his toes. Is it the smell of salt water, the cry of the gulls, the breath of the wind on bare arms and legs? It’s everything, isn’t it? There are a lot of special places in the world, but the beach is a gem unto itself. It reminds you of who you are, and opens a world of relaxation, family time, reflection, playing and adventure, all in one location. Plus, the memories that you make there…it’s kind of amazing. The beach always brings you back to yourself, doesn’t it?
That Sand … am I right?
I remember the first time I ever went to Panama City Beach, Florida and I fell in love at first sight. They have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. First of all, THIS sand is perfection. Have you ever seen such white sand? It feels good too. You’ll want to kick off your flip flops and dig your toes in. It’s perfect for drizzling over the tops of sandcastles for that artsy effect too. I spent many days with my Dad building sandcastles and then later with my kids. PCB is a great place to make sun kissed and sand sprinkled lasting memories. One year, my best friend and I spent New Years there, that was a gorgeous time to be at the beach too! With spring and summer coming around, it’s a fantastic time to visit Panama City Beach.
What about the Hurricane that hit?
Panama City Beach was very fortunate regarding the effects of Hurricane Michael, and PCB is ready for visitors! The beach is still as it was before the hurricane — the same sugar-white sand and amazing turquoise water. Accommodations on the beach are open and ready for visitors and attractions and restaurants are open and ready for business.
There’s So Much to Do in PCB!
Just because I mentioned the obvious, sand and surf, doesn’t mean that there aren’t a million different ways to enjoy Panama City Beach, because there are! Make it Yours! (I mean, I didn’t even mention seafood or fishing…sooo…I’m waaaay behind in the list of awesome!)
The UNwineD Event
There’s the super fun UNwineD spring event that you don’t want to miss and it’s just steps away from the beach! UNwineD is an award-winning event for PCB presented by Southern Living where you can taste craft beer, spirits and wine from around the world, and sample some of the best creations from renowned chefs throughout Northwest Florida. (Awesome!) This year UNwineD will include a charitable aspect for first responders and all those instrumental at the EOC (emergency operations center) and will also be benefiting and working with World Trade Kitchen. UNwineD will take place March 22 and 23 at Aaron Bessant Park – a perfect location for events and concerts!
