Joy’s Life ABC Book Cricut Cuttlebug Project “A” Alligator

Today, we start with “A”. 😛

“A” is for Alligator

Alligator

About the Alligator:

Cricut Cartridges: Sesame Street Font, Animal Kingdom

Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Bird Call

This was my very first page. I started with A and ended with Z. I’m one of those weirdos who likes to do things in order. 😛 I think you’ll notice that I got a bit more daring and creative as I moved through the alphabet.

  1. Hi Joy, I just got my Cricut Expressions and I cannot believe the wonderful things you and others are doing with it…I am slowly learning all the “carts” abbrieviations…wow…so many…I Love It…I don’t think I will attempt an ABC book just yet but I was looking for an Advent Calendar…I don’t have many carts yet(16) so, if you have any ideas I need to mail this from Ohio to Florida ASAP…thanks…I love your site…Gale

    1. Thanks Gale! I was just looking in Scrapbooks Etc. magazine and came across an ad that had the cutest advent calendar in it. I thought it was great, even if just for an idea of what could be done. Here’s a link to the site: 25 Days of Christmas . If you go down to the heading Tablets, Albums and Kits, it’s the 3rd picture down on the left hand side. It is the Countdown to Christmas Calendar kit. Hope that helps!! Thanks again!! 😀

  2. Hi Joy this is Amanda form the Bahamas I REALLY love this ABC book. Here is my problem . I am a teacher and I am just starting out with the Cricut . I know you mentioned each page was 4 x 6 . I would love for this to be my alphabet in my classroom for September 2010. It needs to big enough for the children to see. Could you PLEASE give me a different size to cut these animals. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    1. Hey Amanda,
I think your class would love an alphabet like that! 😀 Dimensions really depend on what size you had in mind for the alphabet and what Cricut you are using. In general, I think you should probably just try some test cuts using some inexpensive paper. I would make the letter first, since it’s the most important. After I was happy with that letter size, I’d lay it on the page and probably just measure the space where I wanted the animal to go. I hope that helps! 😉
