Just when I thought I was safely finished with Spring allergies, I realized that I’m allergic to roses! I have to admit that their pollen has probably always bothered me but I just refused to believe it.
Here I am at the Biltmore Estate in Ashville, North Carolina. My face is swollen and puffy and my purse and pockets are stuffed with tissues. I’m even holding one in my hand, the one with the purse. Hello, ALLERGY FACE®! I was the loudest person in the gardens because I sneeze like a room full of men. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I do not rock the quite sneeze.
I finally figured out that one of my allergies is specifically roses. My daughter and I recently bought this sweet table and chairs to sit next to the rose bushes I had my husband plant for me last summer. Well, last summer they were small and I didn’t spend much time next to them, so I continued to be unaware that they bothered me. Then my daughter and I sat right next to them a couple of times and we both got sneezy and puffy faced. Lovely.
Luckily, we’re both long time Zyrtec fans, so we turned to that. We like it because ZYRTEC® starts working during hour 1 on the first day you take it. Whew.
The other night we both talked a long time about makeup and beauty tips. I shared a few tips from Celebrity Makeup Artist Jamie Greenberg. Jamie created six makeup looks that are perfect for allergy sufferers. They’re for people like us who are trying to look their best while suffering from ALLERGY FACE®.
The fresh-faced & fabulous idea look works best for me. Those are exactly my ALLERGY FACE® issues! My daughter loves the cat’s eye. I just can’t pull that one off and still feel like me. LOL! I’ll stick with fresh-faced! 😉
What are your biggest beauty challenges when it comes to having ALLERGY FACE®? How do you combat it?
