How to Make a Vinyl Monogrammed Shower Caddy

I love to work with vinyl!  It’s a great way to personalize just about anything.  I’m using outdoor vinyl along with my Silhouette Cameo to create this vinyl monogrammed shower caddy for my daughter to use while she’s away at college.

First, I used a monogram file from the Silhouette store.  I cut it out using the standard settings for vinyl for the Cameo.  Next, weed the vinyl.  That means that you take away all the vinyl you don’t want to use from the vinyl you do want to use.  Once that is done, cover the lettering with transfer tape and transfer it to your caddy.  Sometimes you might have really thin parts of the vinyl that stretch out.  Don’t worry about that.  Simply make a thin cut to it and lay it down carefully.  That’s what I had to do with those super thin areas at the top of the design.

Apply the vinyl to your caddy.  Burnish it to the item using a squeegee or a gift card, then carefully remove the transfer tape.  You’re all finished!  Now you just need to add some useful items.

I made sure to add the Schick® Quattro For Women® and Schick® Hydro Silk® disposable razors and some washcloths that we bought at Walmart.  Your student’s choice in shaving products is an integral part of how they feel on a given day – and you want them to feel confident, so this is a great addition to a shower caddy!
