Vinyl Flip Flop Summer Sand Pail

Vinyl, I love you.

Wouldn’t you love to get a fun summer gift packed into this cute summer sand pail?  Add flip flops, a gossip magazine, sunglasses, sunscreen, a rolled up towel and a water bottle to finish this off.  That makes a pretty cute gift that’s not a budget breaker.  YAY to that!  Now let’s talk more about decorating the pail. 😉

Layered vinyl really stands out!

I used a bathing suit, flip flops and this Don’t Bother Me saying.  These svg files are also perfect for card making and scrapbooking or use them like I did…with vinyl!

Need vinyl?  I like to buy mine from Expressions Vinyl.

Break it Up!

I broke the images apart so I could cut like colors together.  Grouping them in the smallest possible area saves on vinyl usage.  Typically, you can right click on your mouse to “ungroup” things in Make the Cut (MTC), Ecal and the Silhouette Software.  I’m using Ecal, the Sizzix Eclips version of Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL).

Sizzix Eclips you’re kinda awesome.

I cut these files out using my Sizzix Eclips and outdoor vinyl.  I buy mine from Expressions Vinyl.

Take your time when layering! You can do it!

I used transfer tape to help me layer the images.  Don’t have transfer tape?  Use masking tape!

Time to apply the images to the pail.

Next, I’ll use transfer tape to help me remove the vinyl from its backing and lay it down nicely onto the pail.

This will make a fun container for giving a summer themed gift!

Have a pail of a good day!  LOL!

This is sooo CUTE Joy! I LOVE downloading Lori’s files from Silhouette… OF course I spend most of my time shopping at the Shilouette store than creating with what I got! LOL 🙂
