ScrapMaBob – My New Favorite Craft Room Item

Hi There ScrapMaBob! I'm JoyMaBob. Well, that's not completely accurate.

Check this out!  It doesn’t matter how clumsy I am, if I knock my Gypsy over, flail around like a trapped animal or try dancing on my craft table I will NOT knock my drink over!!  This is my VERY FAVORITE new addition to the craft room.  I bought mine at a scrapbooking show, but you can get yours (cheaper than I did) at Amazon.

It's magnificent in all it's MaBobbing glory.

Isn’t this the coolest thing EVAH?  I’m so glad I finally bought one.  All you do is screw it onto the table you’re using and you’re ready to go!  (Ignore that black cord in the photo, that goes to my Gypsy.)  It has rubber protectors on it to keep it from messing up your work space.  It didn’t leave a mark on the top or bottom of the table when I removed it after using it for over a week.  YAY!  Not only does it hold your drink but it can also hold garbage (or snacks, just sayin’).  It’s portable enough to carry to crops, friends houses, vacations, etc.  I really love this thing and just wanted to tell you about it!

Here’s where you can get yours!

  2. They have something very similiar at creative memories. The only difference is that the trash bag comes out the side so that it is right beside the table so you can just push your little pieces right into the trash bin. I’m not sure how much they are though. I am in a wheelchair an also use mine on the arm of my chair. It holds my drink, I took the trash bin part off and left it at home, and it keeps my hands free to steer. You’d be surprised how many racks I’ve rearranged at walmart.

  3. I have a similar one and love using it at retreats. I think mine is from a different company and called something else. It did not come with a fabric trash bag either. I use a plastic bag in mine and it is a pain because it falls out a lot. I would love to have a fabric bag that fits it and is removable to empty. I wonder if they sell those separate?

  4. I have that I received as a gift and have had at my computer forever–it has saved me many times from spilled coffee, water, whatever. I do love the easel for your gypsy and will be picking one up soon. What size is yours?

    1. Kathy,
I’d say my easel is about 5 or 6″ tall. 🙂 I got it at WalMart last year. They had a smaller one too that I sometimes use, but I find that the bigger one holds the Gypsy better for me. 🙂

  8. I contacted The Original Scrap Box that same day and told them I had one similar to theirs, but did not have a bag. I asked them if I could buy a bag separate. He asked for my mailing address. Yesterday in the mail I received a bag to add onto mine. It fits perfectly! I can’t wait to crop and use my new trashbag. 😉 I was never charged – they just mailed it! I just wanted to pass on what wonderful customer service The Original Scrap Box provided. They were awesome!!! 🙂
