Naughty Nice Vinyl Wood Block

You bet this is on my mantel! LOL! Too funny!

You can make simple holiday decorations using Lori Whitlock’s fun and festive designs!  Today, I’m using the Naughty is the New Nice file.  I know it will crack people up when they come over and see it sitting on my mantel!

Wood Blocks = Quick Decor, Quick Gifts and square firewood.

I’m using some of my very favorite crafty supplies in this project.  Mod Podge, FolkArt Extreme Glitter (confetti) and acrylic paint, white vinyl and a wood block.  I had my husband cut and rout some spare wood pieces for me. You can also find wood items in your local craft store or have wood cut at a hardware store. It’s not very expensive.  I’ve even found wood plaques in WalMart for $1.

Here’s another wood block craft I created using Lori’s files.

I love a red background and white vinyl. PRETTY!

I covered my wood block with Mod Podge first and let it dry. Next, I covered it with Folk Art Christmas Red acrylic paint.

Pretty glittery effects without a ton of mess. YAY to that!

After the red paint dried, I added a layer of glitter paint.  This one is the confetti color.

Weeding the Vinyl

I used white vinyl and cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo.

Once the block was painted, glittery and dry, I added Lori’s fun vinyl saying to my block.

A glittery shot for ya!

I wanted to include this shot I took because it shows the glitter better than the other photos.  I love the all over glittery look from the FolkArt Extreme paint. It’s not too overpowering and it’s not super messy.  It has gained my complete respect.

This simple craft has high holiday impact and excellent potential for making people smile!

I hope your day is as awesome as glitter paint!  That’s pretty awesome. 😉
