Late Birthday Card with Yummy Puns, Yummy Imagine & Cricut Life’s a Party
I was so happy to have this sentiment from my Yummy Puns stamp set because I missed my sister-in-law’s b’day last Friday! 😐 It’s rough enough to have a b’day on April Fool’s day, but to have someone overlook it is the worst April Fool’s day joke ever isn’t it? Bad me! Well, I did make this card for her and gave it to her today. Let’s face it…missing a b’day happens…it’s good to have a stamp to lighten the mood.
I really like the Life’s a Party Cricut cartridge. I was especially happy to have it today because I needed a card base. I went to make one with my Gypsy and guess what? It’s BROKEN! My Gypsy is as dead as a doornail. The blue light comes on, but nothing happens. I’m going to call Provo Craft and see if they’ll do anything about it, but in the meantime I’m really sad! I use my Gypsy all the time.
In this photo I’m using my Cricut Imagine.
I used the Yummy Imagine cartridge to flood the card base from Life’s a Party with this cute b’day paper background. Then I cut out the whole slice of cake and the individual parts of it. I like to do that so I can pop dot things up for some added depth.
I have to admit that I almost gave all of my decorative scissors away a long time ago. I had a feeling I should keep some of them, so I did. Today I used this pair to give a nice edge to this stamp. I’m glad I kept them.
I also used some Stardust and Gold Stickles for added bling. The Color Box chalk in purple was used to ink the edges of the stamped sentiment.
Looks good enough to eat (if you like a mouth full of glitter!).

Joy…I am very very sad that your Gypsy died. It’s awful. I would suggest to PC that they invent a way that when we link our carts to our Gypsys that we also link them to a storage device on their website so that when Gypsys die…we can buy new ones and link the new ones back up. Please post a new post on what PC says and what will happen should they be irreplaceable. Also…do you have the Mother’s Day Bouquet cart? If so…can you use it with your Imagine? I am unable to…and I have tried EVERYTHING the machine tells me to do but it says I need to update the Imagine…even though IT IS. I have sent NUMEROUS messages to PC both email and on the facebook wall and no one wants to answer me.

I will let you know what PC says. I’m crossing my fingers. I agree with your idea about reloading to the Gypsy’s. They really need to simplify that process.
I do have the Mother’s Day Bouquet cart. I haven’t tried it in the Imagine, but I’ll do that when I get back in town. I’m taking my daughter on a short girl’s getaway trip. 🙂 I’m really curious to see if it works!
PC is so often very slow to respond to emails. It took them 3 months to fix a problem I had with some Cricut rewards points. I had a certificate from a cartridge, but when I input the number it said it was already redeemed. I didn’t think that should take 3 months to fix, but it did. Problems with my crushed cartridge boxes from when I bought my Cricut Imagine were never fixed (though the carts themselves work fine). I’m hopeful my Gypsy experience will be better.

I really love your card and all your layers…who wouldn’t love that card (late or on time)! I was wondering about gypsy problems (knock on wood) and the response time (just in case mine ever bombed)…thanks for sharing. I do have a question about Imagine cartridges…how many images are on each one, as when regular cartridges are advertised (on HSN) they say “over 700” images…I don’t recall how many were ever said on the Imagine Cartridges….just a question. Is there a general number…? Thanks

i was going to get a gypsy when they were offering the extra downloads but rethought it. i’ve heard you either love it or hate it. i have CDS, SCAL, and a laptop that’s working fine for me. and i want to see if the cricut craft room lives up to the hype. hope PC will help.

Love the card …BUT it seems we are both in the same pickle…My Gypsy is fatally injured!!! can you believe it!!!I just got it back and downloaded 89 cartidges, was going to town making Easter cards and it got burnt…one small burn mark on the screen and whamo…its not usable…oh i could jusr keep crying all day!!! Soooooooooooooo I am in the process of finding another at a resonablre price…I did call PC..when i do get one I have to send BOTH machines to them so they can fix the serial number to allow me to relink all my cartridges!!! One goooood thing happened today tho…My Elegant Edges cartridge is HERE!!! well back to shopping!!! i did find one for 99 and another for 109…Plz let me know if you find any spectacular sale…thanks and good good luck to you my friend!!!….Suni
