Design Team Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone!  The Design Team has some great creations for us this week!

JIN

Jin is using Joy’s All Around Sentiments stamps

I’m Jin and I use Joy’s stamps to make cards with my Cricut and Lettering Delights graphics and SVG. I do not use any Cricut cartridges for my cards (except for the occasional panda from Create-A-Critter).

Today’s project is a gift for my kid’s teacher for Valentine’s Day. I used Lettering Delights’ Pillow Box SVG set and imported the template into Make-the-Cut. I reduced the size by 10% so that the flap in the front is the perfect size for Joy’s stamp. I used Make-the-Cut to cut out the template with my Cricut using Lettering Delights “Love is Sweet” paper pack. Next, I stamped Joy’s “For my Teacher” stamp from the All Around Sentiments set twice: once on pink cardstock and once on white cardstock. I punched out the pink stamped image with a Scallop Punch and used my 2 Circle Punches on the white cardstock to get a ring. I adhered the ring over the scallop and taped the whole thing to the front flap of the pillow box. The stamped image stands out even more in the contrasting colors and it also brings out the unique design of the pillow box.

AMANDA

The super fun sentiment I used on my robots belly screen is a Joy’s Life Stamp from her “Father and Son Stamps” set. You can find this stamp set on Joy’s product page. This adorable Valentines Day Robot was cut from the “Robots” Cricut cartridge and the 3 hearts where cut from the Cricut Imagine (they are images that come standard on the machine). I finished this love bot off with some inking, doodling, red stickles, and the Diamond Plate Cuttlebug embossing folder.

MELISSA

First off, has everyone seen Joy’s New Yummy Pun Stamps??? You may purchase your set here!

On to my card, for today, I used  “Bee Mine” from Joy’s Lots of Pun Stamps, of course I  thought I just had to use bees for this. The bee on the left is from Create a Critter and it’s cut at 2.15 and the other if from Paisley and it’s cut at1.75, I thought a heart would be nice for her to hold. The large heart is from Lyrical Letters and it’s cut at 4.63, added a bow and my card is complete!  Have a blessed day!

KYLE

This week I wanted to try something different. I decided to make a mini album that only uses ONE (yes only one) piece of 12 by 12 paper!  (Kyle has more info on his blog about how he did that.)  I used Joy’s Mother and Daughter stamp set and a Cuttlebug die to embellish this card. I also cut out four tags from the Sweet Treat cartridge to place inside some of the pouches, but ultimately, you can completely customize this yourself.

You can journal and place photos inside this handy little album and it is small enough to take anywhere!  Happy Crafting Everyone!

TAMMY

I created this card using Make the Cut and the Cricut Sweethearts Cartridge. The card base is Kraft and I used assorted digital papers from Design House Digital and some Bazzill red. The couple silhouette and the heart are from the Sweethearts Cartridge and the banner for the sentiment is from MTC basic shapes. The sentiment stamps is from Joy’s Life “Mother & Daughter” Stamp Set and I pleated some ribbon for some added detail. The inside is also finished.

I hope you get some inspiration for your own Valentine’s Day card for your Sweetie!
