Cricut Holiday Birthday Teacher Gift Bag 12 Days of Christmas DAY TEN GIVE AWAY

Happy Merry Christmas Holiday Birthday to you!

Today is DS#2’s teacher’s b’day.  Being that it is so near Christmas, I thought that I would make a holiday/birthday decorated bag to house the printable vinyl owl clipboard that I made her a few days ago.

For this project I used a bag that I had on hand and decorated it for this occasion.  However, this is not your usual bag.  It serves more than one purpose.  Not only is it a cute holder, but because I used 3M Post It Craft Paper the images can be easily removed from the bag to add some holiday decor to the classroom! I thought that would be a really easy way for the teacher to quickly add some holiday fun. 😉

I used the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge to make that adorable reindeer.  You can also see all of the Post It Craft Paper that I used.  It comes in about 24 different colors! 😀

The First Layer

If you’re new to the Cricut, Create a Critter is a great cartridge to get started with.  The layers are simple and quickly make a great effect. 😀  I also made my Joy’s Life Lots of Pun stamps with the Create a Critter cartridge in mind.  You might enjoy using those things together.

The Second Layer

Here he looks a little like a spooky cow, but he’ll look better soon.

The Last Layer

Rudolph can’t lead the sleigh, unless we give him his famous nose.  Don’t worry!  I’ll see that he flies! 😉

Here I am cutting the Post It Craft paper.  You can do all kinds of things with and to this paper.  I’ve written on it, stamped it, used embossing powder, heat gun, glitter glue, etc.  It really stands up to pretty much every crafting paper need.  It’s very coolio.

I used Joy’s Life All Around Sentiments stamps to spruce up the plain yellow tag.  I stamped directly onto the Post It Craft Paper and then punched out the stamp using a 1-1/2″ punch.  The scalloped circle is also punched from Post It Craft Paper.  I used a brown Copic marker to color the stems of the Christmas trees.

I think this stamp is perfect for this occasion. 😀

I used a white Signo gel pen to make all those little dots.  You can see the pen in the previous photo.

This “To” and “From” stamp is also from All Around Sentiments.  I find that I’m using theses stamps quite a lot lately, especially when making tags.

Now I just need to add the clipboard to the bag and have my son sign the “To” and “From” on the tag and we’re all done! YAY!
